Evernest Kansas City (Evernest Property Management LLC) has been at the center of my horrible rental experience, leading me to document the issues and challenges I faced. I am hoping someone can help or learn from my experience.
Understanding My Journey
Learn about my experience with Evernest Kansas City, documenting tenant rights violations, unlicensed rental units, and how to hold property managers accountable.

Evernest Property Management and Illegal Rentals
In Wyandotte County, landlords without rental licenses can still collect rent—even on properties deemed unfit for habitation. My experience reveals how Evernest Property Management and the landlord signed leases for an illegal rental, ignored severe habitability issues, and profited despite a city order to vacate.
The court sided with the landlord, forcing me to pay rent on an unlicensed property. This loophole leaves tenants vulnerable while protecting fraudulent landlords.
We need change. Stronger penalties and tenant protections are crucial to stop these illegal practices and hold landlords accountable.
Emails, Photos, and Official Reports
I’ve gathered key documents that tell the full story—photos of unsafe conditions, emails between myself and the landlord, and inspection reports. These resources are here for those who are helping me, to offer clarity and context
